FIC & IMBBA FORM A PARTNERSHIP
TO CERTIFY ITALIAN BIKE BUILDERS

Fabrizio Farve, President of FIC
International Partnership, Italy & IMBBA

The International Master Bike Builders Association (IMBBA) is pleased to announce an international partnership agreement with the Federation of Italian Customizers (FIC.) The IMBBA has worked for almost a year to complete the partnership with the FIC, an organization that united Italian bike builders and Italian skilled tradesmen several years ago.

FIC President Fabrizio Farve, FIC Vice President Jerry Caronte, FIC Secretary Roberto Totti and more than 30 members of the FIC, representing the Italian bike building industry, have become part of the IMBBA. The FIC is now in full agreement with the IMBBA standards for judging and the IMBBA certification points system developed by IMBBA founder, Jeff Starke.

Fabrizio Farve intends to make the partnership announcement on behalf of the FIC at the European Bike Week, which is Sept. 7 to 12 at Faaker See in Austria. The Faaker See rally has grown in 13 years to be the largest bike week in Europe.

The unifying agreement places the FIC in the role of administrator in gathering and processing information needed to submit their members for IMBBA certification. The FIC will now submit their members for certification under the same auspices developed by the IMBBA for certification of bike builders and skilled tradesmen in Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland and the USA.

"This is a historical event in motorcycling," said Jeff Starke. "For the first time, countries have united and are decisive in standardizing the means by which all members, associates and bike builder-customizers are certified.

"The IMBBA points system that judges on the basis of Fit, Form, Function and Safety has been gaining momentum among world class builders, riders and bike owners as a fair and impartial process used to recognize motorcycles that are built properly and as a way to identify quality bike builders and skilled tradesmen."

IMBBA formed in 2005, with its points system used in predominate bike shows along with the educational training now being used in Motorcycle classes world wide has identified the points system that is one in the same when it comes to certifying the builders life experiences and proficiency in bike building by assigning a point system to their individual experiences.

This system, the only one of its kind, depicts accurate, a builders experience and places it in an appropriate level of proficiency and in doing so, does this world wide. A standard so well needed to join the world together and stand on the proper levels among one another, let alone, define to individuals where the knowledge and expertise has been earned and practiced.

Today, with  Italy joining along with other countries, whom are already IMBBA members, brings the world of bike building one step closer to world standardization and defines the levels that customers can rely on with an IMBBA certification. In a world economy like it is today,  riders, motorcycle enthusiast and the like, need to know who the competent builders and repair persons are. By knowing the IMBBA logo world wide assures them that the person with an IMBBA certification has gone through the certification process and been verified by the IMBBA to  meet or exceed training and education requirements necessary for an IMBBA certification.

Fabrizio Farve, FIC president, who under went the IMBBA certification process, which took approximately three months to accomplish, through the process, it was discovered with his accomplishments along with charity and contributions, both as president and as a bike builder, that, he earned enough points for nomination into IMBBA Hall of Fame. Presently, undergoing this process is an example on how builders everywhere don't realize in a careers lifetime where they stack up, without the standardization IMBBA put in place, would otherwise go unnoticed to the rest of the world.

IMBBA Welcomes FIC to the world level Standard of Motorcycle Building, education and training.

Jerry Caronte, Vice President FIC
Roberto Totti. Secrectary FIC
